Eat, sleep, festival, repeat

Eat, sleep, festival, repeat - Veloce Club

It's that time of year for festivals, but which one is your favourite?

I love a good festival - growing up I did all of the big music festivals; Glastonbury, Reading, Knebworth. But I also went to a lot of motor festivals; my first time at Goodwood Festival of Speed was in the late 90s or early 100's. I also went to the Bulldog Bash - my first real experience of a motorbike festival.

I try to make sure that I go to at least one moto festival or event every year. Over the years I've been to the Goodwood Festival of Speed many times and the Goodwood Revival (the vintage style of Age of Glory would fit in well here). In 2019 I went to CarFest for the first time. I've been to the Isle of Man TT - although that is still on my bucket list - which is probably the mecca for any biker.

But there are a lot of 2 wheel festivals; everything from the Bike Shed at Tobacco Docks (again another mecca), the Malle Beach Race, the Malle Mile, but also the Brackley Festival of Speed and the Preston Hill Climb.

There are also a lot of festivals on the continent - where you know the weather will be guaranteed and the roads will be awesome. So far I've managed to get out to Motorbeach in Spain, Wheels and Waves in Biarritz, and in Austria...  But there are more to visit :)

Next will be for the Adventure Rider I am going to the ABR Festival and I think another excuse to dress up and visit Goodwood Revival is in order as well :)
