We’re pretty chuffed with this one: Veloce Club has been featured in the Motorcycle News (MCN) Pit Stop guide, putting our independent motorcycle café and clothing shop in Hertfordshire on the map as a destination for riders.
When we opened Veloce Club, the idea was never to create just a motorcycle shop or just another biker café.
We wanted to create somewhere worth riding to.
A place where you could meet your mates, park the bikes up, grab a decent coffee, have something to eat, browse some genuinely good motorcycle clothing and — more importantly — feel welcome whether you've been riding for 30 years or passed your CBT last Tuesday.
So being recognised by Motorcycle News and included in the MCN Pit Stop guide means a lot to us.
A Motorcycle Café in Hertfordshire Worth Riding To
Based near Hitchin in Hertfordshire, Veloce Club has become a regular stop for riders from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, London and further afield.
And we think the journey should be part of the reason you visit.
There are some brilliant motorcycle roads surrounding us, making Veloce Club an ideal destination for a weekend ride-out, Sunday morning blast or a meeting point before heading off somewhere else.
Once you get here, there's plenty of motorcycle parking, seating inside and outside and — obviously — coffee.
Dogs are welcome too. In fact, we'd probably be disappointed if you didn't bring one.
Proper Coffee, Locally Roasted
If you're going to call yourself a motorcycle café, the coffee needs to be good.
Ours is locally roasted by Campervan Coffee, and our café serves espresso, flat whites, cortados, cappuccinos and other hot and cold drinks.
The cakes and baked goods come from our friends at Flour21 Microbakery, another brilliant local independent business.
It's one of the things that's important to us at Veloce Club. Wherever possible, we'd rather work with great independent businesses and people who genuinely care about what they're making.
So whether you're looking for a motorcycle café near Hitchin, somewhere to stop on a motorcycle ride through Hertfordshire, or simply somewhere to drink good coffee while talking nonsense about bikes, you're very welcome.
More Than a Biker Café
Walk through the café and you'll find our independent motorcycle clothing and gear shop.
We've deliberately avoided trying to stock everything.
Instead, we hunt down motorcycle clothing and riding gear that combines proper protection with genuinely good design — stuff we'd actually want to wear ourselves.
You'll find motorcycle jackets, riding shirts, motorcycle jeans and trousers, helmets, gloves, boots and accessories for men and women, alongside casual motorcycle clothing and our own Veloce Club T-shirts and merchandise.
We work with motorcycle brands including Age of Glory, Wildust Sisters, MotoGirl, By City, Merlin, Belstaff, John Doe, Pando Moto, Rokker, DMD, Fuel, Pike Brothers, LOFT Moto and plenty more.
It's motorcycle gear without having to look like you've just been fired from a cannon through a branch of Halfords.
A Motorcycle Destination Built Around Community
The thing we're most proud of isn't actually the shop.
It's the community that's grown around it.
Veloce Club hosts motorcycle ride-outs, demo days, ladies-only rides, new-rider and 125cc events, tours, motorcycle events and social meet-ups throughout the year.
We've welcomed everyone from complete beginners to riders who've been on bikes for decades.
We've hosted motorcycle demo events and experiences with major manufacturers, organised our own ride-outs and created Sisters in Motion to encourage more women to ride, meet other riders and feel comfortable becoming part of the motorcycle community.
We're also heavily involved with the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Hitchin, bringing hundreds of motorcycles and riders together while raising money for men's health.
Because motorcycles are obviously brilliant.
But the people you meet because of them are usually even better.
An MCN Pit Stop in Hertfordshire
Motorcycle News has been part of British motorcycling since 1955, and its MCN Pit Stop section helps riders discover places to visit while they're out on the bike.
Having Veloce Club included in the MCN Pit Stop guide is therefore something we're genuinely proud of.
We're an independent business. We're not a big chain, and we don't particularly want to become one.
We're a motorcycle shop, café and community built by people who ride motorcycles for people who ride motorcycles.
And apparently MCN thinks we're worth stopping at too.
We'll take that.
