The first bike show, of the year, and what a show it was

Not even the foul British weather could rain on our parade as we rode up to the Kickback Custom Show on Saturday evening on our Kermit the Frog green Honda.

As we rode into our first event of the year, it was heaving with bikes all parked around the corner of Cheltenham’s town hall.

Inside however, it was the custom bike hall of dreams. But a particular favourite of the day, a Methanol Supercharged Nimbus, or ‘Sweet Pea’ as it was rightly called. Stunningly crazy, and originally built for Major Barrington-Thrubwell, it dominated the Brookland race track of the 30s.

But it’s far too difficult to pick just one favourite from Sunday’s event that was jammed with custom bikes and machine lovers alike.
