The Pike Brothers 1944 NAF Flight Jacket in Pacific Beige is inspired by one of the rarest jackets produced for the U.S. Navy during the Second World War. Manufactured for only a short period in late 1944, surviving originals are exceptionally scarce and have become highly sought-after pieces among collectors of vintage military clothing.
Known as the Navy Air Force Jacket, the NAF combines design elements from two legendary pieces of U.S. Navy outerwear: the N-1 Deck Jacket and the Deck Zip Jacket. The result brings together the distinctive blouson silhouette of earlier Navy jackets with the substantial insulation associated with later N-1 designs.
The outer shell is constructed from 100% cotton Jungle Cloth, a densely woven fabric ideally suited to the rugged character of military outerwear. Inside, a woven lining made from 100% virgin wool provides natural warmth and insulation for colder conditions.
Practical storage comes from two large outer pockets, complemented by a spacious internal pocket for keeping essentials close at hand.
A traditional Talon zipper reinforces the jacket’s period-inspired construction, while ribbed knit cuffs provide a close fit around the wrists and help keep cold air out. The classic blouson cut completes the distinctive 1940s Navy silhouette.
Finished in Pacific Beige and made in Turkey, the Pike Brothers 1944 NAF Flight Jacket combines heavyweight Jungle Cloth, warm virgin wool, practical detailing, and the unmistakable character of one of WWII-era U.S. Navy clothing’s rarest designs.
