Pike Brothers 1944 Monkey Pant Olive
The Pike Brothers 1944 Monkey Pant in Olive O&E takes inspiration from the P44 trousers developed for the U.S. Marine Corps during the Second World War. Created as part of a new uniform concept, the original trousers featured unusually large pockets designed to give servicemen plenty of space for carrying essential equipment.
This distinctive pocket arrangement soon earned the P44 trousers the nickname “Monkey Pants”. Over the decades, their unmistakable design has developed from practical military clothing into an icon of vintage workwear and military-inspired style.
Authentic USMC-Inspired HBT Trousers
Faithfully recreated with close attention to the original construction, the Pike Brothers 1944 Monkey Pant is made from 100% cotton herringbone twill (HBT) with a substantial 275 g/m² fabric weight. The material provides the durability associated with military clothing while remaining comfortable enough for everyday wear.
The regular fit provides plenty of freedom of movement, while three oversized patch cargo pockets recreate one of the most recognisable features of the original P44 design. Pike Brothers logo buttons provide the finishing detail while maintaining the trousers’ authentic military character.
The fabric is pre-washed for a comfortable feel from the first wear and to help minimise further shrinkage.
Finished in Olive O&E and made in Turkey, the Pike Brothers 1944 Monkey Pant combines authentic military heritage, practical storage, and hard-wearing HBT cotton in a timeless pair of vintage-inspired trousers.
