When Harley-Davidson comes to Veloce Club, we don't do things by halves.
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June, we teamed up with Harley-Davidson UK and Lind Harley-Davidson Newmarket to host one of the biggest demo weekends we've ever run – and the response was phenomenal.
Over two days, we welcomed 192 riders onto guided demo rides aboard 16 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, giving people the chance to experience the latest models on some of Hertfordshire's best roads.
16 Harleys, Guided Rides Every Hour
From 10:00am each day, guided ride-outs departed every hour, with riders choosing from an incredible fleet of 16 Harley-Davidson motorcycles spanning everything from laid-back cruisers to touring machines and performance-focused models.
Rather than a quick spin around the block, every ride was carefully planned to let riders experience what makes a Harley-Davidson so special on real roads, in real riding conditions.
Whether someone had always dreamed of owning a Harley or was simply curious to see what all the fuss was about, the weekend offered the perfect opportunity to ride before making a decision.
Led by the III Rivers Chapter
A huge part of what made the weekend run so smoothly was the support of the brilliant team from the III Rivers Chapter.
Their experienced riders generously volunteered their time to lead every single ride-out across both days, ensuring each group enjoyed a safe, relaxed and enjoyable route.
Having knowledgeable Harley riders leading the groups helped create a welcoming atmosphere, especially for those riding a Harley-Davidson for the very first time.
We can't thank them enough for their time, professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the weekend.
More Than a Demo Day
As always, Veloce Club is about much more than motorcycles.
While riders headed out on the road, everyone else enjoyed everything that makes our events special.
The BBQ was fired up throughout the weekend, the music kept the atmosphere buzzing, the café was busy serving food and drinks, and riders spent hours chatting, comparing bikes and making new friends.
It wasn't just a demo event.
It was a proper motorcycle social.
192 Smiles Across Two Days
By the end of the weekend, 192 riders had taken part in the guided demo rides.
Some arrived knowing exactly which Harley they wanted to ride.
Others came with an open mind and left having discovered a bike they never expected to love.
Watching riders return from their sessions with huge smiles, animated conversations and plenty of questions for the Harley-Davidson team reminded us exactly why we love hosting events like this.
Real Results
The success of the weekend wasn't just measured by the atmosphere.
Following the event, Lind Harley-Davidson Newmarket confirmed two motorcycle sales directly as a result of the weekend, along with several other warm leads.
It's exactly why events like these matter.
Nothing replaces getting people out on the road, experiencing a motorcycle properly and talking to passionate riders in a relaxed environment.
