A 150-Bike Veloce Club Convoy Through Hertfordshire
On Sunday 17th May, Veloce Club proudly hosts our edition of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride—a global movement uniting riders of classic and vintage motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
This year, we’re bringing together an incredible 150-bike convoy, creating a truly striking presence on the road. It’s more than just a ride—it’s a moving statement of style, solidarity, and purpose.
The Ride Experience
We roll out together from Veloce Club in Hitchin, 150 riders strong—engines rumbling beneath tailored suits and polished helmets.
The ride begins with a steady cruise through Hitchin town centre, where the scale of the convoy really comes to life. It’s a moment that captures the essence of DGR: visibility, community, and raising awareness in a way that turns heads for all the right reasons.
From there, we flow out into the surrounding countryside, settling into a relaxed and considered pace suited to a large group ride. The route has been carefully planned to accommodate the convoy while still delivering some of the best roads in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
One of the standout moments comes as we pass through Shuttleworth and Old Warden, where open countryside and historic surroundings provide a perfect backdrop for the ride.
The final leg brings us back through familiar villages before returning to Veloce Club—where the ride continues off the bikes with drinks, conversation, and celebration.
